Kansas Educators Talk Buildings at P1 Service
LENEXA, Kan. - New and aspiring Kansas school superintendents spent time at P1 Service’s Lenexa office this week, learning about procuring and funding facility improvements.
The superintendents are participating in the BOLD (Business Operations Leadership Development) program of the Kansas Association of School Boards.
Members of P1 Service’s Performance Solutions team (Pat Curnow, Tim Mense, Jacqui Morris and Rusty Roderick) planned and led the workshop, teaching sessions on deferred maintenance and performance contracting. Heather St. Clair, of P1’s Proactive Solutions team, gave a talk on preventive maintenance contracts.
The participants also toured the P1 headquarters and took a look at a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system in the Training Center. VRFs are replacing many aging heating and cooling systems in schools and other buildings.
